The town where Thomas Edison invented the movies 120 years ago continues to honor its film heritage with its 7th annual West Orange Classic Film Festival.

All screenings are at the newly renovated AMC Theatre in the Essex Green Shopping Center on Prospect Avenue in West Orange on Sundays at 2PM. Admission is $10.00. ($7.50 for members of the W.O. Based on the Nobel Prize-winning novel by Boris Pasternak, Doctor Zhivago covers the years prior to, during, and after the Russian Revolution, as seen through the eyes of poet/physician Yuri Zhivago (Omar Sharif). Winner of five Academy Awards, including for screenwriting and cinematography.

WEST SIDE STORY (1961)

Winner of 10 Academy Awards, including director and best picture, the newly restored movie version of the Leonard Bernstein-Stephen Sondheim musical celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. This iconic film stars Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer as doomed lovers from rival gangs.
